The weather has been way too perfect during the past few weeks to not go on a weekend getaway in the middle of nowhere. We have been wanting to go to Spruceton Inn for quite some time, so naturally, we took the two hour drive into the Catskills mountain in search of the quiet, cozy inn. Surrounded by mountains, the inn and its surrounding area provided a serene little nook to take a break from the city amongst the vast alcoves of the Catskill mountains. It was a moment to reflect and soak up the fresh air.
We hiked, cooked, drank, and met some stellar people underneath the night sky. It was the first time in a long while that Bobo and Bibi made legit smores and we learned from the best teacher around. We forget his name entirely, but we refer to him as ‘Integrity guy’. Shout out to Integrity guy! The Da Vinci of the Smores world! (if you are reading this, thanks for the tips!)
Overall, it was a great stay at the Spruceton Inn. The innkeeper, Casey, and her husband Steven were great hosts and we really appreciate the hospitality they provided during our stay there. On the way back home, we visited a hot brunch spot called the Phoenicia Diner and, of course, the most famous little town, Woodstock. All great gems within the Catskills area. What a perfect weekend getaway!
