How did you guys spent your Valentine's day this year? This was our 5th Valentine's day together and actually First Valentine's day as married couple! This year we decided to bring the romance to our house with classic candle lights and flowers. With the candle lit and bouquet of Valentine Florals we picked from our favorite store, Homecoming in Brooklyn, we felt like we were in a moody restaurant!
As for the meal, we decided to make Mille-Feuille Nabe, Japanese hot pot with many layers of napa cabbage and beef slices. Mille-Feuille means "A Thousand Leaves" which refers to classic French pastry with layers and layers of all the goodness-puffy pastry, custard/pastry cream such as Napoleon. It's super easy to make, but most likely looks very presentable on the table! Also, we just love eating hot pot at home ever since we got the hot pot as a gift from mom last month!
Hope you had a beautiful Valentine's Day, just like we did.
