It's the NYC Restaurant Week 2015! From July 20 to August 14, many fine restaurants in NYC are hosting special three-course prix-fixe meals for $25 lunch and $38 dinner. It's a deal you should take advantage of and there are so many participating restaurants out there. Out of the many choices, my friend and I (Bibi) decided to dine at Ai Fiori during our lunch break.
An hour lunch break was enough time to enjoy Ai Fiori's special three-course prix-fixe meal. Starting from appetizer, entree to dessert, everything seems to flow smoothly as we decided from their Restaurant Week menu. We went with pork terrine to start, Razza (white fish) and Pappardelle (broad and flat pasta with tomato sauce and mushroom) for entrees and Torta di Cioccolato (dark chocolate cake) to finish. Lunch was simply lovely. The ample portions of food satisfied our empty stomachs. I had a good time with my friend away from the office, and enjoyed elegant French and Italian traditional dishes which had modern interpretations to it in a clean hotel setting. It was definitely a fanciest lunch I had in awhile.
Dinner at Nougatine Jean George is up next with Bobo this Friday which will be the last day of NYC Restaurant Week 2015. Looking forward to see what they're all about. Stay tuned for our next post!
