Spaghetti Neapolitan (ナポリタン) is Japanese Pasta dish which consists of spaghetti pan-fried with onion, bell pepper, button mushrooms, sausage and seasoned with ketchup. It was more popular a couple of decades ago, but it is still great; an easy to make at home kind of pasta in Japan.
Spaghetti Neapolitan Ingredients:
Spaghetti for Two
Neapolitan Sauce (Or just use Ketchup)
Salt & Pepper
Unlike Italian Pasta, Spaghetti Neapolitan is a easy-to-make Japanese pasta dish that everyone will enjoy. The Sausage Octopus added interesting look to our dish, but it is still delicious without its octopus shape! In classic Asian style cuisine, we ate the pasta along with pickles (spicy pickles) to add a bit of a sour taste to the meal. Try making this dish the next time you decide to make pasta. It's very easy to do, especially since the spaghetti sauce is usually sold prepacked in any Japanese mart.
